Futures Festival Train the Trainer

In November 2007, IISN co-sponsored a Futures Festival Train-the-Trainer Workshop, which was facilitated by Professor Matthew Kaplan, PhD, of Penn State University. As the creator of the Futures Festival model, Professor Kaplan shared stories of how he came to create the model, how the model has been successfully implemented in a host of communities, and how to plan for a successful Futures Festival in the Holiday neighborhood. A dozen members of the Holiday neighborhood attended the workshop, which was held at the Wild Sage Cohousing Common House. The workshop culminated with a plan to conduct a Futures Festival in Holiday in the spring of 2008 and that IISN would coordinate the event.
